How Do Chat Room Notifications Work?
Chat notifications operate independently from your general Team App notification settings. This means you can turn notifications on or off for each chat room, regardless of your overall app preferences.
Managing Chat Notifications
Turning Notifications On/Off for Individual Chat Rooms
You can control notifications for each chat room using either of the following methods:
Method 1: From the Chat List
Go to your Chats menu
Swipe left or right on a chat room
An option will appear to enable or disable notifications for that specific chat
Method 2: From Inside a Chat Room
Open the chat room
Tap the menu icon (⋮) in the top-right corner
Select Enable Notifications or Disable Notifications
These settings apply only to the selected chat room.
Who Can Participate in Chat?
Only registered Team App members can send and receive chat messages
Members who do not use the smartphone app can still view chat messages via the website when logged in
Important Notes
Chat comments do NOT generate email notifications
Members must have push notifications or in-app notifications enabled to be alerted
If chat notifications are off for a specific room, you will not receive alerts even if Team App notifications are otherwise enabled
