Club Responsibilities Under GDPR
While Team App provides the platform and complies with GDPR as a data processor, each club or organisation within the EU is considered a data controller for its members’ information.
This means clubs have their own GDPR obligations, such as:
Ensuring members' personal data is handled lawfully and securely
Managing how member details are collected, used, and retained
Providing transparency to members about how their data is used
Ensuring data access or deletion requests are managed appropriately
This responsibility exists because club admins can manually add members, even if those members haven’t created a Team App account themselves.
