Team App supports a full parent–child structure, allowing guardians to receive notifications, respond on behalf of children, and participate in chat and events. Below is a complete guide on how to set this up and manage it effectively.
1. Adding Children to Your Member List
You can add child members in two ways:
Option A: Add One-by-One
Go to the Members list
Select the child’s profile
Click + Add Guardian
Add one or more guardians to the child
Option B: Add in Bulk (Recommended for Teams)
Go to Website Dashboard → Members
Click the three dots (⋮) menu
Select Bulk Import
Use the YOUTH CSV Template
This template allows you to import both children and guardians, including their alignments
Guardian accounts will not be duplicated
A single guardian may be aligned to multiple children
2. Primary vs Non-Primary Guardians
You can assign different permission levels:
Primary Guardian
Can respond to RSVPs on behalf of the child
Can interact fully with events and notifications
Non-Primary Guardian
Has view-only access
Cannot RSVP or respond on behalf of the child
These settings can be edited in each child’s member profile.
3. Managing Access Groups for Children and Parents
To ensure accurate attendance, RSVPs, and team visibility:
Only add child members to Access Groups
Guardians automatically receive:
Notifications for access groups their children belong to
Visibility to content relevant to their child
Editing Access Groups in Bulk
Go to Website Dashboard → Members
Open Bulk Edit Members
Add or remove parents from access groups as needed
4. How Parents Participate in Chat
Guardians automatically gain access to chat rooms linked to their child’s Access Groups
In chat rooms, guardians appear under their own names
They can also participate in private chats
This keeps communication clear and ensures that guardians can stay connected without being listed as players.
