Using One Registration vs Multiple Registrations for Teams

You can use either approach, depending on how your club prefers to organise registrations.

Option 1: One Registration for the Entire Club (Most Common)

Most clubs create one main registration form and include a question asking the registrant to select their team, age group, or division.

Benefits:

  • Easier to manage and maintain

  • All registrations are collected in one place

  • Simplifies reporting and administration

  • Reduces the need to create and manage multiple forms

Example question in the form:

  • Which team are you registering for?

    • U10 Boys

    • U12 Girls

    • Senior Team

    • Social Team

Option 2: Separate Registration Forms for Each Team

Some clubs prefer to create individual registrations per team.

Benefits:

  • Keeps each team’s registrations completely separate

  • Useful if teams have different fees, questions, or requirements

Which option should I choose?

If your teams have similar registration questions and fees, using one registration with a team selection question is usually the best option.

If teams have very different requirements or pricing, separate registrations may be more suitable.
