Restricted Admins (RA)

A Restricted Admin (RA) can perform many of the same tasks as a Full Admin, but only for the Access Groups they have been assigned to manage. They cannot access the main dashboard and therefore cannot modify app-wide settings, features, or design.

How is a Restricted Admin Assigned?

Restricted Admin privileges are set by a Full Admin.

To assign a Restricted Admin:

  1. Log in to your Team App dashboard via the website.
  2. Select your app.
  3. Go to Members.
  4. Click on the Three Dots next to a member's name.
  5. Select the Restricted Admin Privileges option
  6. Choose Restricted Admin as their permission level.
  7. Select the teams and/or Access Groups they should be able to manage.
  8. Save your changes.

Alternatively, a Full Admin can:

  • Go to the member’s profile (member card)
  • Ensure the member is part of one or more Access Groups
  • Enable Restricted Admin permissions for the specific group(s) they will manage

Optional Permissions

A Full Admin can also allow the Restricted Admin to:

  • Approve access requests
  • View or edit the member list for their assigned groups

What Can a Restricted Admin Do?

Restricted Admins can perform admin tasks within their assigned Access Groups only, including:

  • Approve membership requests for their groups
  • Create News and Events and send notifications to members in their groups
  • Create Surveys and Voting
  • Manage Player Profiles
  • Upload newsletters and documents
  • Add or manage members within their assigned Access Groups
  • Edit content they have created, or content created by other admins, targeted to the same groups

What Can a Restricted Admin Not Do?

Restricted Admins do not have access to:

  • The Dashboard
  • App-wide settings, features, or design controls
  • Global member lists or groups they are not assigned to
  • Editing or managing content outside their assigned Access Groups

Troubleshooting

I can’t see the teams I should manage.

A Full Admin may need to update the team’s visibility settings and ensure the appropriate Access Groups have been assigned to your Restricted Admin account.

I can’t send notifications to specific groups.

Restricted Admins can only send notifications to the teams and Access Groups they have been assigned to manage. If you are unable to target the correct groups, please ask a Full Admin to review your permissions and team visibility settings.

I can’t edit schedules or content for certain teams.

This usually means those teams or Access Groups have not been assigned to your Restricted Admin profile. A Full Admin can update these permissions at any time
