Custom Membership Questions

Charlie Bibb wrote...
I have created a custom question which I need to make a Yes/No answer a mandatory response within my Access Groups. I created the Yes,No response in the Options box of the Custom Question. As the admin, I can see the custom question I created on all members accounts.

Since I already have members assigned to Access groups, it was suggested to delete the member(s) from the Access group. When they request access back into the group, they will be prompted for the mandatory missing information.

This works great for the preset Required fields that I have checked off within the Access Group.

Unfortunately, the custom question is easily missed and does not require a response. If the member doesn't see the carat Y/N symbol on the custom question, but fills in any missing Required field info, they may submit the Access Group request.

I am unable to create a MANDATORY response for the custom question. Any help is appreciated.

BTW, our 138 members LOVE this app! But my municipal leaders want their mandatory waiver! Thanks so much!

      Hi Charlie,

I can see what you've stated here. It allows you to select the custom question associated with the group, but doesn't allow you to make it mandatory.
I'll pass the feedback over to the development team and see what they can achieve for the future.

As it stands right now, it will require you to alert your members to manually selecting this question and hopefully the guys can turn something around in the future that allows you to make it mandatory.

      Regards,

      Daniel

          Hi Daniel,
Thanks so much, I was pretty sure that was the best we could accomplish for now. I hope it wont be too big a deal to create the mandatory field for custom questions soon! Thanks again. In all transparency, I should mention that Craig also provided a response to me outside of this forum but it is inconsistent with your answer (which I believe yours is correct)

              Hi Charlie,

Did you chat with Craig via email? He's on leave this week, but will sometimes answer emails irrespective.

I do believe it doesn't make the question mandatory, however, I Craig is much better placed to answer these types of questions.

Follow his steps and see if it makes a difference. Otherwise, I'll chase him up when he's back from holidays.

              Cheers,

              Daniel
