Thanks for the feedback, but we've decided to not include e-mail notifications for chat rooms because members would be overloaded with e-mails for each chat comment received.  Chat is designed for instant communication and non-app members just need to monitor the website.  With over 95% of people having smartphones, if they are desperate to receive chat notifications please encourage them to download the app.

Maybe split the difference with a daily digest to email users?

I'm still figuring out the best way for coaches to informally push information to parents (outside of team schedules, events and news). While most have downloaded the mobile app, there's still a few "luddites" out there that we need to effectively reach, somehow.

The other issue is e-mails go to people who have not even registered to become a Team App member, so managing that whereby the member can't access the chats in detail via the website provides complexity.  We will consider our options and appreciate your feedback.
