How do I make sure only the child names and not the parents appear in RSVP and Attendance Tracking member lists?

Managing parent and child memberships for RSVP's and Attendance Tracking:

Firstly, ensure all parents and guardians sign-up to Team App with their own details, not the details of their children.

Making sure you see only child names and not parents in various section of the app requires you to utilise the parent/child functionality of Team App.  This can be set-up and managed only by full-admins, and the instructions below provide guidance on how to manage youth players on Team App:

Here is how we recommend you manage youth players on Team App:

  1. Enter your child members (with or without an e-mail address) into your member's list.  You can do this one-by-one, or in bulk by importing in a spreadsheet of members via the website dashboard / members / bulk import / YOUTH CSV template.
  2. At any time click on any child member and you will see an option to +add guardian.  This is where you can add one or more guardians to each child member (you can create alignments in bulk by importing in the YOUTH template - this will not duplicate any registered members).  Each guardian will receive notifications and content relevant to the access groups their child belongs to.
  3. You can give each guardian 'primary' or 'non-primary' privileges.  'Primary' guardians can reply in the app on behalf of their children for things like RSVP's and Availabilities, whilst 'non-primary' guardians have view-only rights.
  4. Ensure only the child members exist in each access group.  That way if you are collecting RSVP's or tracking attendance, only the child names will appear in your list of members.
  5. You can manage the access groups members belong to (eg. remove parents from their child's group) in bulk via the dashboard / members / bulk edit members.
  6. Any aligned guardians will be able to participate in chat rooms for the access groups their child belongs to - they will be identified under their own details in the chat room so parents know they are talking to other parents.  They can also participate in private chats.

There is instruction on managing members in YOUTH CLUBS throughout the website dashboard, so please review that information as required.
